One of the most unique features of ABCCS is its full two-way immersion bilingual program in order to develop fluency in both English and Spanish. By integrating native Spanish and native English speakers together and teaching classes in both languages, it allows for all students regardless of language preference to receive a truly high quality education while learning a second language.

Kindergarten and 1st

The Immersion program begins with students who enroll in Kindergarten and 1st grade where the day is divided into half English and half Spanish, for example a student may learn Math in English, but complete Social Studies in Spanish. As these students progress through the grades, this immersion model will continue so as to keep the students learning the core subjects in both languages until they reach high school.

2nd – 12th

Students who enroll for the first time in grades 2nd -12th will receive English Instruction and Spanish as a second language. We will be introducing them to both languages throughout the day but understand the limitations to becoming truly bilingual starting at a higher grade. During grades 9-12, students advance to an all English curriculum with Spanish classes as well as other languages available as electives that focus on correct grammar, composition and fluency. ABCCS also offers an Advanced Placement Spanish course for students that are completely proficient.
